First we'd like to thank everyone who entered our challenge for Operation Write Home! I'm sure they will love getting all those fabby cards in the mail and the TROOPS will definitely appreciate it!
Well I know some of you are really wondering on our winner so I'll get right to it! Winner, as chosen by random draw, of 4 of our new Tinies of their choice is..........
Well good morning fellow Oddsters....this is Word Girl Kimmy with my first ever challenge for you all. But before I can get all excited about it and about the Tiny release we just had two days back, let's have a look at the overall winner for our Multiple Images challenge. Man, were those entries fantastic or what? We are just so happy that Random.org does all the "dirty" work for us by choosing a winner. With so many gorgeous cards to choose from we wouldn't know where to start. But I ramble.
We have had 14 entries out of which 5 used Some Odd Girl images, which gave us 19 entries into our virtual hat *shuffle-shuffle-shake-shake* and our winner for this fortnight is:
Number 3 which belongs to Lisa Haines
Congratulations to you!
We just love the frightened look on the kitty's face with those big google eyes :)
Please emailKristy{at}SomeOddGirl{dot}comand let her know which 2 images you'd like from the store, and she will make sure you get to play with digi delights very shortly!
And then of course, each challenge produces two further lucky Oddies who will be awarded Some Odd GirlLoyalty points, just because we loved their projects so much.
And Barbara went for cute and gloomy with this sweet textured creation:
Ladies, please email Kristy at the above address so she can set you up.
I am sure you are getting all twitchy about the new challenge now, right? Okay then - but before I go into more detail, let's have a quick look again at the latest release of the much anticipated TINIES *swoon*
You may remember that earlier this year, the July Freebie Tina Tia just rocketed to the top of our list with a total of 1,306 downloads in 30 days (that is 43.53 per day, folks!), followed by Tiny Tobie and his dog with 1,002 downloads in August.Well, that told us that you really, really - like, REALLY love the Tinies so Kristygot cracking to present you with this fabulous release of Tinies.
And here is your mission should you choose to accept it.
Create a monochromaticcard, which extends to any digital images you may use (like our September Freebie Bussie, which you can download HERE). If you use any people or animal images, you are allowed to use a different colour for skin and eye colour but the rest of the image should be based on the overall colour scheme of your card. Not sure what to make of the term monochromatic? Click HEREto get the skinny.
Now check out our Team Style and how they rocked the monochromatic Tinies
Kristy made use of the ever so cute Tiny Tia Bow in wonderful pale blue hues
Yvonnealso ran with a blue colour scheme but chose Daisy Tia for her fun card
Robin F shows us that black can be cheerful with her
perfect monochromatic card using Bu'Fly Tia and friend
Marcie used the same image and showcases a tasty card in lime colour
Leah got hold of Daisy Tia and only gone and created a whole scenery to go with the image. Isn't it wonderful - especially the shading of the colours?
Tanyaheld up the card for the boys though and gave Fishin' Toby an outing
on her scrummy black'n'grey card. Look at his eyes...you could get lost in them!
And then there is me, Kimmy, who had to be the ODD one out (pun intended) by using Cloud Buddies, who are right now available in the BIG 99 cent Sale!!!
So, are you gonna play along with us this fortnight? We cannot wait to see what you all create and hopefully share with us. Enter by directly linking up your NEWLY CREATED PROJECTS no later than Wednesday, October 6th 2010 at midnight EST, and be sure to link back to our blog for your chance to win two free digis of your choice fromSomeOddGirl.com! As you know, you get one entry in the (virtual) hat for each card you enter and another entry if you use one of our images. Good luck and enjoy!
Ever want to combine your love of crafting with a want to do good things for others? Then we have a challenge for you! For today's special challenge Some Odd Girl is teaming up with Operation Write Home to help celebrate their Birthday! Want to learn more about Operation Write Home? Check out this link.
The challenge today is simple! We want to see BIRTHDAY THEME CARDS! Birthdays are OWH's biggest need for cards and this special challenge is going to aim to help them out. We are asking for each of you to not only show us your Birthday Cards following the OWH Guidelines (very important!) but we want to see an addressed envelope to your closet OWH shipper. If we don't see both of these things in your piccy your entry won't count. We would also like to ask anyone who enters to send their card on off to OWH so they can continue to help US Troops keep in touch with their loved ones.
SO, here is your inspiration from our Odd Girls today...
Robin F used Tobie and Buddy on this fun boys card
Yvonne used a special treat, Birthday Tia on her card
Marcie also used cutie Birthday Tia on her pixielicous card
Leah used that special Birthday Tia too! (she hopes to squeeze in a bunch of cards for the troops!)
Piali, who is also a OWH regular, used special Birthday Tia on her card
We keep saying that this challenge is special and it definitely is! But to go with special challenge we have special prizes! Have you seen this...
This is our FULL Tinies Release!
The Tinies are coming on the scene Tuesday Sept 21, but the winner of this challenge will get their pick of 4 of these cuties! Sure, after Tuesday you can go buy'em but you can win some here by doing something good for the Troops! So do you think can you follow these quickie rules:
We hope so! Each qualifying entry gets you one ticket in the hat, use a Some Odd Girl digi and you get two! This challenge is also a lil different in that it has a shorter deadline: because of mailing, entries are due by Sept 22 at midnight EST. And lastly, I bet you keep wondering why I keep mentioning that special Birthday Tia... well you'll have to go to the OWH Blog to find out! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!)
Stay Odd and thank you for supporting OWH and the Troops!
Good morning to you, Odd friends! Is everyone back to school and settling into a new routine again? Is the weather changing in your neck of the woods? September is always such a busy, exciting time, and hopefully you're all finding yourselves with just a LITTLE more time to craft, especially those of you with young children! :D
Let's cut right to the chase, shall we? Not too many players for our Sketch Challenge last week, but the submissions were beautiful, and we're thrilled you played along! With 11 , and 9 of them using Some Odd Girl images (that's a fantastic ratio - WOO HOO!), that means there are 20 entries in the proverbial hat... So the InLinkz randomizer has spoken, and the lucky number is...
LOVE the monochromatic color scheme, Lisa, and her blue stripey socks! :D Thanks so much for playing, and congrats! Please email Kristy@SomeOddGirl.com and let her know which 2 images you'd like from the store, and she'll hook you up!
And with each new challenge and the announcement of our winner comes two more lucky people who are chosen as our faves for the challenge! Congrats to...
Marie, who used Yay Kaylee - the colors are so happy and the placement of the sentiment is just PERFECT!
and Denise, who used Mae as Alice - such a lovely, elegant card, with beautiful colors, and that trim is fabulous!
So this brings us to our NEXT CHALLENGE! This time, I want to see at LEAST 3 or more images on your creations!
Bonus entry for those using 3 or more DIFFERENT images, and as always, an additional entry for using Some Odd Girl images, although they are not required. (There is, however, a fabulous FREEBIE up for grabs, so it's EASY to get a bonus entry!) Let's check out the work from our fantastic Odd Girls, shall we?
Robin McK took Tobie (he'll be available soon!) fishin' with his Puppy and made a new friend, Squirrelee:
Piali played with the brand new MONKEES (you can win them by entering our contest, or wait until their release on November 2nd!) and combined them with the Table from either Coffee Kaylee or Coffee Mae:
and Sara combined one of the cute MONKEES with two of the forthcoming Tiny Tias - they'll be available September 21st!
OOOHHH, and Robin F decided to play along, too! I guess she couldn't resist the charm of Gorky and Bulz, with their fabby Rocket!
There you have it! There is so much you can do by combining multiple images, and we can't wait to see your gorgeous projects! Enter by linking up your NEWLY CREATED PROJECTS no later than Wednesday, September 22nd at midnight EST, and be sure to link back to our blog for your chance to win two free digis of your choice from SomeOddGirl.com!
