Let's kick this school year off with a challenge that will require you to dig out some additional crafty tools (besides paper trimmers, scissors, glue and your coloring medium of choice). :)
We want to see STITCHING on your projects!
It can be sewn by machine, hand stitched, or even faux if that's the way you want to go! Or combine any of these for a nifty result!
And boy oh boy, have we got some inspiration to share! But first, remember our little tag challenge in our Facebook group? Whether you played along or voted, you'll probably remember this talented lady. Give a warmly Odd welcome to our September Odd Girl, SANDIE!
Sandie Dunne
blog: ...exploring The Crafty Side of Me
My name is Sandie and I live in Ireland with my hubby. I am a SAHM to our 4 kids who range in age between 5 and 19. I have been crafting for about 6yrs, starting out with scrapbooking. I bought my first 'cute' stamp on a whim and was instantly hooked. I enjoy all types of papercrafting from off the page projects to cards. I am thrilled to beguest designer for Some Odd Girl. xx
Sandie wowed us with her first Guest Odd Girl creation, using Kiss a Prince Tia
and here's what the rest of the gang came up with....
Kristy used Pinwheel Panda
Corry used Kite Flyin Tobie
Robin used Punk Kaylee
Vera used Hula Kaylee
Melissa used Love Letter Kaylee
Christina used Photo Kaylee
Melissa used Love Letter Kaylee
Lou used Garden Mae
Amy used Witchy Tia
Tasha used Flower Girl Mae
Elena used Tweet
Leah used Sigh Mae
Caz used Punk Kaylee
Sarah used School Mae
And if you're not inspired by any of that (which would be crazy, really), then have a peek around the blogs of our Odd Girls and you'll see LOTS of gorgeous projects that feature stitching of some kind.
